Karnataka celebrates “Kanakadasa Jayanthi” to pay tribute to Shri Kanaka Dasa, who was the 15th century Saint and a social reformer. Kanaka Dasa was a Haridasa, and renowned composer of Carnatic music, poet, musician and philosopher. He is famous for his Keerthana and upabhoga, compositions for Carnatic Music. He used simple Kannada language for his compositions.

Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. Girls from various grades enthralled the audience with a classical dance performance.

Bulletin boards displayed red craft work made by the children. The tiny tots looked stunning in their red outfits. Special assembly was conducted with emphasis on significance of red colour.

This is one of the largest public health programs reaching large number of children during a short period. The objective of National Deworming Day is to deworm all preschool and school-age children (enrolled and non-enrolled) between the ages of 1-19 years through the platform of schools in order to improve their overall health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life. We conducted de-worming day with the help of doctors by giving Albendazole tablets to students and letting them know the importance of Deworming day.

It is an important pooja performed by many women in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Hindu festival going by the name ‘Vara maha Lakshmi Vrata’ is celebrated on the Second Friday or the Friday before full moon day – Poornima in the month of Śravaṇā, also called Śawan in Hindi and Aadi in Tamil which corresponds to the Gregorian months of July–August.

To create awareness among the staff about disaster management, a mock fire and evacuation drill was conducted on 03rd August about fire-fighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency situation. The mock drill was carried out in the school to prepare staffs for any such eventuality under the fire risk reduction programme. The purpose to organize the mock drill was to check the readiness of the school to face any such fire emergency and also to make the staff aware about the Fire Fighting Rescue Operation.

Holistic education is a myth, without sports in the curriculum. CISCE Sports and games Karnataka 2022 had organized State level Volley ball competition in chikkabalapur district. Our students participated in the event and have selected for semi-finals round. It gave a worthy opportunity for fledgling athletes to showcase their talent.

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. International Yoga Day was celebrated by Varin students and all staff’s with great enthusiasm. Students demonstrated various yoga asanas. Warm up exercised were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asana, importance of these were explained simultaneously by Yoga therapist Ms. “Rashmi”. The celebration concluded with synchronized recitation of slogans and speech by our Principal Mr. Senthil R. He encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.
